Sonia Caroline Sciama created For Responsibility in Science and Technology in 2025. Seeing the growing schism between advances in science and technology and human benefit she felt the need to take action, and she founded For Responsibility in Science and Technology. Dr Sciama studied mathematics at University College London as an undergraduate and then cognitive science at Warwick University and experimental psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the USA. One of the goals of For Responsibility in Science and Technology is to expand human-centric services that is the user centred situations where a human being is required to provide services to other human beings, limiting the automaticity of manmade machines in everyday contexts.
